Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (*This position is Part-Time.)
UNIVERSAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Mission of the Company by identifying and accomplishing team and individual performance goals that directly support the goals of the Company.
- Treat all co-workers, customers and suppliers with respect and in accordance with the Company’s Code of Ethics and Core Values.
- Follow all company GMPs and SOPs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accounts Payable
- Process invoices for payment – match to RTS; obtain approval for any discrepancies
- Enter invoices in accounting system
- Process daily ACH/Check run
- Back up to Accounting Specialist for vendor requests for payment information Billing Process
- Process EDI customer invoices daily online in Grocery EC
- Assist Accounting Specialist with other tasks related to the billing process
- Cash Receipts
- Assist Accounting Specialist with other tasks related to the cash receipts
- Back up Support to Administrative Assistant
- Answer/Transfer incoming calls
- Greet/Assist visitors
- Sort Mail
- Process outgoing Fed Ex/UPS shipments
PERIODIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support to Controller and Accounting Specialist as needed (i.e. internal requests, month-end audits, etc.)
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s degree and/or 5 years of accounting/accounts payable experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE
- PC proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with automated accounting systems
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, standards, and procedures (GAAP) preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attentive to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to shift from various projects and manage frequent interruptions
ABILITIES AND SKILLS
- Reasoning – Comprehend several abstract and concrete variables; use logic or reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions or approaches to problems
- Mathematical – Add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals and percentages.
- Organizational Skills – Able to establish systems to projects and information well organized with timely follow-up.
- Language Development – Ability to communicate information and ideas by speaking or writing so others will understand; ability to gather and organize information to write reports; can effectively relay information to small groups of people.
- Physical Effort – Sedentary work. Occasionally exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects (i.e. banker’s boxes).
- Vision – Far, near and mid-range vision, depth perception, color identification and field of vision
- Activity – Regularly required to talk, hear and use finger dexterity (especially with computer); occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or feel
